Every call, transcribed and summarised — attached to the job

Call transcript and AI summary attached to a field service job

You can already record every call in Tryoup. But a recording still has to be listened to — usually by the one person in the office with the least time to spare.

Now every call is also transcribed, and an AI summary is written on top of it: who called, what they need, what was agreed and what happens next. All of it attached to the job, not buried in a phone system menu.

What the transcript captures

The full conversation, written down: the caller's name and address, the fault as they described it, the access instructions, the price that was quoted and the appointment that was agreed. Everything the call contained, searchable and skimmable.

The transcript is stored against the job alongside the recording, so both are there when you need them — the recording for tone and detail, the transcript for finding the exact sentence in seconds.

The AI summary on top

The summary is the part your team will read. A few lines that say what kind of job it is, what the customer asked for, what was promised, and anything that still needs a decision — written the moment the call ends.

For the office, that turns a three-minute call into a ten-second skim. For a manager reviewing the day's bookings, it turns twenty calls into a page.

The moments it earns its keep

  • Handovers — whoever picks up the job next knows what was said, without asking the caller to repeat it
  • Disputed quotes — what was actually quoted on the call is one search away
  • Price and scope arguments — the agreement is on record, in the customer's own words
  • Staff changes — a new person in the office can read what was promised instead of guessing
  • Repeat callers — their history is in the transcript trail, not in someone's memory

Engineers arrive knowing the job

Because the summary sits on the job, the engineer sees it before they set off: what the customer reported, what the office promised and anything unusual about the visit. Fewer surprises on the doorstep, better first-time fix.

It also removes the traditional relay chain — customer to office to engineer — where every handover loses detail.

How it fits with the rest of the platform

Transcription and summaries cover every call that touches the platform: calls you answer in the office, calls the AI voice agent answers out of hours, and calls that were tracked back to a campaign. The voice agent's transcripts land in the same place, so nothing has to be re-read by hand.

And because the summary is written from the call, it can be searched like everything else in the job record — 'which customer mentioned the leaking stopcock last month' becomes a search, not a memory exercise.

Frequently asked questions

Does every call get transcribed, or only some?
Every call that comes through the platform — inbound and outbound — can be transcribed, with the transcript and summary attached to the job it belongs to.
How accurate is the transcription?
It handles real-world calls — accents, roadside noise, trade jargon — well, and the recording is always one click away for anything the transcript leaves unclear.
Is this the same technology as the AI voice agent?
It works alongside it. The voice agent answers calls and books jobs; transcription and summaries apply to all calls, including the ones your own team answers.
Who can see the transcripts?
Your team, governed by the user permissions you set — you remain the data controller for recordings and transcripts.
